Is Call of Duty 3 is Still Coming to the PS3?

CoD3 Activision

Activision‘s little website information (or lack thereof) boo-boo on their World War II shooter Call of Duty 3 drove a lot of eager gamers to form speculations about the game’s development for the PlayStation 3, ranging from delays because of additional lighting tweaks, to it being already cancelled. And to feed the fire, PS3 was still listed for other announced launch titles like Marvel: Ultimate Alliance and Tony Hawk’s Project 8. How did it go from bad to worse, you ask? Apparently, the said console wasn’t listed as one of the platforms for the game’s release.

Even if the site now has PlayStation 3 listed, we are still waiting for an official statement from Activision. If it’s any consolation, the company’s UK Public Relations Manager was quoted as saying, “I haven’t heard anything to say that CoD 3 isn’t a PS3 launch title, quite the opposite. I believe this is an error on the activision.com site.” If we are to believe that it was only a blunder, then I guess the PS3 won’t be missing any Call of Duty 3 action after all.
