Jagex Ltd. is sending out word that things are changing yet again in its MMORPG RuneScape, especially in the way players conduct business with other players.

According to Jagex Ltd., a new establishment has been erected at the Marketplace called the Grand Exchange. In a nutshellRuneScape‘s Grand Exchange is an item marketplace where members and free players can buy or sell a huge range of items. More details after the jump!

According to Jagex Ltd., a new establishment has been erected at the Marketplace called the Grand Exchange. In a nutshell, RuneScape‘s Grand Exchange is an item marketplace where members and free players can buy or sell a huge range of items.

One can liken this to real-life businesses such as that of Makro. Anyway, here are some tips on using this place:

• Bring items you wish to sell or money to buy stuff with.
• Speak to one of the Grand Exchange clerks to either put items up for sale or to make a bid on any items.
• The clerks will take your items or money and look for a matching bid/sale to match you up with.
• You may have to wait for your bid to be accepted or for the clerks to find a purchaser – then again, it could happen in moments!
• You will receive a message when the trade has been completed and you can go to the Grand Exchange or any bank to pick up your purchases or money.

Jagex Ltd. has also put a check-and-balance system to the Grand Exchange so that more established players will not be able to manipulate the economy. Prices set in this are limited to just five percent lower or higher to the real market value of the goods.
