Jail Break Walk Through for Double Agent

There is nothing in this world that just happens. Everything has to begin somewhere. The same holds true even for the most dangerous missions in Splinter Cell: Double Agent. In this addition to the successful Tom Clancy series, Sam Fisher begins without  any high tech weaponry. He is just equipped with the clothes on his back and a switchblade. Inside a prison.

Splinter CellThe shiv came ironically from his first target Jamie Washington, a member of the domestic terrorist group John Brown’s Army. Right here, a quite radical shift in focus takes place. Instead of using stealth or just attacking, players must earn first the trust of Washington to be able to escape the maximum prison.

How do you this? Of course, go out of your cell first. this shouldn’t be a problem anymore as Washington already started a riot. Pass through the vents then above the cell block. Using your switchblade, break into a control room and wait in the shadows, as one guard is present in the room.

Fisher’s fate now is in your hands: use lethal force and endanger losing National Security Agency’s trust this early; knock of the guard using non-lethal force but that could trigger an alert. At this point, maybe it would be wise to keep it low first, just access the computer in silence.  Obtain the codes for the locked doors.

Splinter CellAfter that, sneak your way to the North Tower. Again, just keep it low. Should guards or other prisoners attack you, use yelling, clawing and punching to your advantage.  Once inside the tower, work your way up floor by floor and you are likely to find a shotgun. Washington then, will talk to you through a walkie talkie.

As you near the escape point on the roof, Jamie Washington will be captured. You can earn more trust from him if you can knock out the guard. Should you not get there in time, Washington will do this himself. It would be such a waste however, as this “auxiliary trust” will prove to be important later in the game.

To get away finally, hijack the evening news helicopter that will arrive as the prison courtyard is covered in flames.
