Apple has renewed the legal drama “Presumed Innocent”, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, for a second series on Apple TV+. The first season of Presumed Innocent continues to air, and the eight-episode series will conclude on July 24, 2018. It has managed to make it into the top 10 streaming shows on Reelgood. This indicates that it is a popular show. Apple confirmed via X and Variety that a second series is coming. It is not known if the second season will continue the storyline or use any characters from the first due to its limited nature. Apple did not confirm any details in the report, but it did tweet “New Season.” New case.” Presumed Innocent, based on Scott Turow’s novel of the same title, follows Jake Gyllenhaal as Rusty Sabich (played by Jake Gyllenhaal), a prosecutor who is accused of murder by his colleague. It explores obsessions, sex and politics, as well as the power and limits to love. Ruth Negga is also in the cast, along with Bill Camp, Elizabeth Marvel and Peter Sarsgaard. O-T Fagbenle and Renate Reinsve are also included. Gyllenhaal and J.J. Abrams are listed as executive producers.
