Japan gets free meat with their Monster Hunter Portable 2

PocketGamer has noted an annoying trend in the gaming industry, wherein Japanese gamers get free stuff when a game comes out, but we don’t. For instance, there’s the special stuff that comes with a Monster Hunter Portable 2 bundle purchase.

Selling for ¥27,300 (US$ 230), this pack is the special limited-edition bundle that comes with the Champagne Gold PSP. We also mentioned that it would come with sticker skins, a pouch, and a cleaner.

What we didn’t know was that the cleaner would be a cute sort of collector’s item. Instead of your usual dirt snatching wipes, Capcom‘s bundle of joy gets plush toys that serve as cleaners for the PSP, not that you’d want to use it for that. It’s cute as heck, and you can even change the color of the meat by placing a new cover. Mmm… purple poisoned meat.

Someday, when the earth reverts back to its primitive ways and the continents are all connected into one giant landmass, maybe we’ll see some nice game bundles too. For now, we’ll just have to make do with some pictures.
