Japan gets its own Dragon Quest Castle
Just in time for Fuji Television’s Adventure King 2007 festivities that started last Saturday, Square Enix decided to join in on the TV outfit’s 10th anniversary celebration by building a Dragon Quest-themed castle in Odaiba, Japan, where Fuji TV recently moved.
Famitsu reported that the Dragon Quest Castle can be found in Fuji Television’s Adventure Land. Aiming to pull DQ fans into Memory Lane, the DQ castle features crooked rooms and trick passages that comprise most of Dragon Quest dungeons all throughout the series. Adding to the attraction found inside the castle are Dragon Quest: Monster Battle Road cabinets as well as a Dragon Quest figure showcase.
For those who’d love to take the castle home (but can’t), Square Enix included a Dragon Quest gift shop, as well as gave a free Slime cell-phone charm. An iMode corner was also set up to offer even more Dragon Quest goodies for visitors to take home through their mobile phones.
