Japan: Grand Theft Auto IV beats LittleBigPlanet

Looks like sackboys have nothing on Niko Bellic. Grand Theft Auto IV and LittleBigPlanet both launched on the same week in Japan, and it’s pretty clear who the winner is. The PlayStation 3 version of GTA IV sold more than twice LittleBigPlanet did. Also worth noting that the PS3 version of GTA IV sold almost 4 times the Xbox 360 version did.

Grand Theft Auto IV and LittleBigPlanet both launched on the same week in Japan, and it’s pretty clear who the winner is. The PlayStation 3 version of GTA IV sold more than twice LittleBigPlanet did.

It’s also worth noting that the PS3 version of GTA IV, which totals up to 133,000, sold almost 4 times the Xbox 360 version did, which sold only 34,000. Despite strong sales, it seems the gamer base of the Xbox 360 still has a ways to go to catch up to the PlayStation 3’s.
