Japan to get its own PS3 budget game lineup?
Ever wanted great games for your PS3 at rock bottom prices? Japan certainly does. A Japanese online retailer recently posted listings for the first set of titles that’ll fall under the PlayStation 3 budget lineup for Japan, known as “PlayStation 3 the Best.” More on this interesting development after the jump!
It looks like Surfer Girl got it right when she said that there’d be a budget game lineup for the PS3. We’re not sure if she expected it to happen on the other side of the world, however, as a Japanese online retailer recently posted listings for the first set of PS3 titles that would fall under the budget game lineup in Japan, more commonly known there as “PlayStation the Best.”
According to the retailer, there will be PlayStation 3 the Best versions of Resistance: Fall of Man, FolksSoul (also known as Folklore), Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Gundam: Target in Sight, and Ridge Racer 7. These games will all sell for 3,800 yen (US$ 35) each and will arrive on March 19.
It’s certainly good news for PS3 owners in Japan. We hope to get an official announcement from Sony soon. In the meantime, sit tight. Perhaps there’ll be an American version of this budget lineup as well.
