Japan Weekly Sales (April 3rd – April 9th)

To keep things a bit neater, we delayed on reporting Japanese sales until both hardware and software numbers were out. If you’d rather that we report them separately as soon as they’re released, please leave some comments with your thoughts! Look for a PAL sales roundup this weekend. So, without further ado, here we go.

I was able to get lifetime and year-to-date numbers for hardware in Japan and by doing a bit of math I’ve got that up to date and here for all to see. I’ll also be keeping track of it for following weeks.

The software chart was dominated by Nintendo DS titles and three PS2 sports titles. As usual, the Nintendo DS and Nintendo DS Lite combined outsold every other piece of hardware combined. Interestingly, the Xbox 360 outsold the GCN for the second week in a row!
