Japanese DS Lite Shipments Increase

Increasing its DS production to meet demand, Nintendo forecasted 700,000 units shipped in April. Nihon Keizai Shimbun reports that they’ve now increased that shipment estimate by 100,000 to 800,000. Of that 800,000, Nintendo sold almost all of that according to the sales charts by Media-Create. That is a lot of consoles. DS, PSP, and GBA combined does not sell that much in a normal month in the USA! Hopefully we’ll see the North American, European, and Australian release soon!
