Japanese Gamers Want Oblivion!

Undeniably, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is one of the most popular videogame titles. To date, there are already over a million copies of the PC and Xbox 360 edition sold. With its release last March, American and European gamers rejoiced at the prospect of being able to move into the world of Tamriel, looking for the lost heir to the throne. The Japanese gamers, however, were not happy…as Bethesda Studios decided not to release the game in the Land of the Rising Sun.

They did not cause a ruckus though; the Japanese may have thought they just have to be patient and a version of the game for them will come their way. But four months after the Western release, there’s still no word of it making its way to Japan. So, just how long do the Japanese have to be patient? Apparently, four months wait is too long…as Oblivion fans in Japan have finally decided to complain.

There’s this one Japanese site which aired its grievance regarding the Japanese gamers about Oblivion not making its way into Japan shores. The site has urged others feeling the injustice to let their voices be heard. We’re just not sure though if this strategy will work — the petition has just started last Wednesday and we’ll see where this complaint will lead to. Well, good luck to them!
