Japanese PlayStation Store revamp and firmware 2.30 scheduled for next week

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan has just released some new details regarding their scheduled launch of their region’s revamped PlayStation Store.
According to the company, their revamped store is currently expected to arrive on April 15 (Tuesday), carrying with it these new features (Quoting SCEJ‘s translated press wire):
- The new interface nimble movements of the operational feeling significantly improves
- Preview the contents of downloaded video content easily available in the still image
- The new category “recommend” “demo / PV” new category, PLAYSTATION Store to deliver RIKOMENDO
- Other features, such as carts, more convenient shopping and download support
Sony Japan further indicated that the new PlayStation Store will be coming in at the same time as the PlayStation 3’s firmware 2.3 update. That said, we’re hoping this update will include the Portable Copy function that was sorely during last month’s 2.20 update.
