Rare’s Perfect Dark Zero voted best game at Microsoft’s recent X05 Xbox jamboree
Rare’s eagerly anticipated Perfect Dark follow-up Perfect Dark Zero has been crowned king of Microsoft’s recent European Xbox event X05 with the return of Joanna Dark scooping the X05 Game of the Show award.
According to a report on trade publication MCV’s website, a whopping 80-percent of the votes for the X05 Game of the Show award were secured by PDZ, with an independent body of 16 games journalists from the continent dishing out the prizes.
Epic’s Gears of War was also honoured, picking up the award for Technical Achievement thanks to the eye-popping capabilities of the studio’s Unreal Engine 3.0 powering away under the game’s hood. Rare scooped a second award with Kameo which won the Xbox 360 Innovation award, while the Best Xbox Game award went to Criterion’s explosive first-person shooter Black.
