July TurboGrafx-16 Wii VC releases

July TurboGrafx-16 Wii VC releases - Image 1The Wii Virtual Console TurboGrafx-16 line up for July is looking pretty hot. They’ve got some good games from Hudson Soft and G-mode that many old school players will remember fondly. Each one will be going for 600 Wii points.

At the top of the list is Air “Zonk”. This quirky platformer really made headlines for its revolutionary graphics and gameplay when it first came out in 1992.

Another offering from Hudson, Devil’s Crush, is a pinball simulation which didn’t get much coverage but garnered a cult following among gamers in Japan.

From G-mode comes Silent Debuggers, an FPS-like game with you piloting a mecha-like starship as you go around an abandoned cargo station in search of riches. Apparently, debuggers is the term they’re using to describe the freelance salvage teams which go around the galaxy.

Drop-Off, from the same company, is a puzzle game. Nothing too groundbreaking here, but it’s still a game that should keep you engaged.

Retro gamers will probably be ecstatic at these releases. Those who aren’t retro gamers should give these games a try as well.
