A new homebrew platformer game going by the title “Jump Luigi v1.0″ was recently spotted on the QJ.NET PSP Development forum. Developed by dan369, the game features the titular green-suited plumber in an amusing remix of the Super Mario Bros. series.
This initial release of the Lua-based homebrew title takes you on a side-scrolling quest to collect coins across the familiar backdrop of the Mushroom Kingdom. One of the more interesting aspects of the game includes a screenshot feature which you can take anytime during your coin-collecting adventure.
While Jump Luigi still lacks enemies to make it a bit more challenging, the developer mentioned that it will be one of the many things to be added in future updates of the game. Other plans to be implemented include additional levels and an option to choose which character you want to go through the game as (Mario, Wario, etc.).
You can also discuss Jump Luigi v1.0 with the developer by visiting the PSP Development forum, accessible through the link below. Anyway, we hope you enjoy this newly released homebrew game, so keep checking back with us for more updates on the homebrew scene.
