Jump Ultimate Superstars website jumps up
Hope your Japanese is up to scratch, though. But if you can actually read Shounen Jump, then that’s not gonna be a problem. Nintendo has unleashed the official website for Jump Ultimate Superstars, a.k.a. anime SSB (also a.k.a. we don’t need MUGEN for this!).
Here you can poke around a bit and read the profiles of your favorite Jump characters from 40 different titles (but why does the site say “41”?), but note all those unfilled question marks as of now. We got a lot more to learn about the wide cast of support (and maybe even unannounced playable?) characters from our favorite anime titles. Catch the Japanese ad for Jump Ultimate, or get together with your friends and play “Who can ID the most Shounen Jump characters in the website’s title page…”
Okay, language barriers can be so limiting. So’s one other factoid: Jump Ultimate Superstars is currently slated for a November 23 launch in Japan. No current plans of a US release. Sigh. Anyways, this writer’s bets are on Kenshin kicking everyone else’s behinds. Yes, including Son Goku’s. (Off-topic: It would be interesting to MUGEN a matchup between Himura and Sephiroth, though…)
