Just Wii: Canada’s Wii pre-order stand

Rogers Video pre-order stand for Wii, by WarrenIt may just be too late, or we might just be blind. It’s up for you to decide. Over at Go Nintendo, there’s now a picture up for a Wii pre-order stand over at Rogers Video. For those who haven’t heard of it, Rogers Video is a video and game store in Canada.

Now, the stand isn’t your usual Nintendo marketing gimmick. There’s no sign of the Nintendo logo, and you can definitely see that they’re trying to position the Wii as the bridge for gamers and non-gamers alike. The sign says:

Wii will break down that wall that separates video game players from everyone else. Wii will put people more in touch with their games… and each other. But you are probably asking: What does the name mean? Wii sounds like “we,” which emphasizes this console is for everyone. Wii can easily be remembered by everyone around the world, no matter what language they speak. No confusion. No need to abbreviate. Just Wii.

It’s great how they worded the advertisement for the Wii. Just one thing though. Checking Rogers Video’s website doesn’t show any indication of a pre-order scheme for the console. Either they’re full up on pre-orders, or the link for it was being all ninja-ish today.
