Kobe reminisced about him playing video games growing up, and how gaming is now part of even a pro athlete’s every day life. “These five-to-six-hour east coast flights, everybody is just up playing,” he said, noting that favorites include basketball, soccer, and football games. “All the guys will play on the plane actually,” Kobe said. “Travel with a flat screen and hook up the console. It gets pretty competitive.”
But is he good at it? We’ve all seen him dominate the actual hardcourt (yes, love him or hate him – he’s done that so many times), but what about his 2K10 mad skills? “I beat Carmelo,” he said, referring to his buddy Carmelo Anthony of the Denver Nuggets. “I don’t know how good that makes me.”
NBA 2K10 from 2K Sports is now available for Xbox 360 and PS3.
