The latest Kojima Productions Report, now number 82, spilled more information pertaining to the Sony PlayStation 3 exclusive Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. It’s interesting to note that the “f word” will be heard in the series for the first time, and MGS4 assistant producer Ryan Payton is requiring queries to suggest a Metal Gear name if they are to be answered.
During the podcast, hosts Payton and MGS art director Aki Saito explained that Konami Digital‘s Metal Gear Solid 4 will have more violence than we’ve seen in the trailers. The violence hasn’t been toned down, so expect more gruesome scenes like Volgin’s torture scenes in Metal Gear Solid 3. The addition of the “f word” make us feel like a stealthy Gears of War is in the making.
Meanwhile, it was stated during the Kojima Productions Report that the Metal Gear Saga 2.0 DVD will use the “Dissolve” artwork, originally designed by the company Petrol then tweaked by Kojima Productions. It was also reconfirmed that the Metal Gear Online beta will be a PSN download for both North America and Europe territories, as pre-orders come with download codes which give players access to MGO.
