Kojima wanted Peace Walker to be rated E for Everyone

With its use of firearms, language, and degree of violence, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker has received a T for Teen rating from the ESRB. But if Hideo Kojima had his way, he’d have wanted the PSP title to be rated E for Everyone.

It’s thanks to Kojima’s new bilingual Twitter account that we can get a few tidbits from the famed producer:

 

 

Understandable, he’d like his work to have a larger audience. Quite frankly, I doubt that a preteen would have the full appreciation for the politics and depth of the Metal Gear plotline, but even so, there are many other facets to the series that can put anyone in awe. As for an E-rated Peace Walker, that’s going to be a mystery we’ll never see unfold.
