Konami brings Old Snake, Shadow Moses to Metal Gear Online
Konami has announced a bunch of new Metal Gear Online stuff: a new map, a character, and a reward mode all available through an update for players who have purchased the SCENE expansion pack. Details after the jump.
Konami has announced a bunch of new Metal Gear Online stuff: a new map, a character, and a reward mode all available through an update for players who have purchased the SCENE expansion pack.
The new map, Icebound Inferno, takes players back to Metal Gear Solid‘s Shadow Moses map. The map features an Arctic Island that consists of a large snowfield with buildings of varying heights. This one’s recommended for medium- to long-range combat.
Old Snake and the Octo-cam suit are also available in the update as a unique character and a weapon, respectively. Old Snake will not become completely invisible when using the suit, but will automatically blend with the environment.
Finally, there’s a new Auto Matching Reward mode in which the winner of the match wins more reward points than normal. When playing an individual match in this mode, only the winner receives the reward points. In a team match, the team member ranked first will get the loot.
