As a minor update to the Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (PS3, Xbox 360) patch, Konami, who previously refused to give comment about the rumors, finally gives us the lowdown – a quick changelog, if you will. First things first: just in case you missed it, while the PS3 patch was seen earlier, the Xbox 360 version is already available as well.
The official statement of Konami confirms that the patch is indeed addressing the lags plaguing the game, whether online or offline, as well as slowdowns reported by other users. As for the PS3 version of the patch, it also incorporates some bug fixes relating to the problem of downloading the game to the PS3’s hard drive.
We hear that, despite already downloading the patch (for the PS3, at least), some issues are still prevalent, however, Konami’s only statement is that they will continue looking into further support and software maintenance as they go along.
