Koukyou Shihen Eureka Seven Announced for the PSP

Eureka7v2.1.1600Bandai’s PS2 adaptation of the Eureka Seven anime series was released to Japan just a couple of months back. Apparently, the game did good enough to demand greater attention, and now Bandai is back with a PS2 sequel and a new PSP title.

The PSP title is an all new game that goes just by the name of the anime series, Koukyou Shihen Eureka Seven. This is an appropriate name, as the game is designed so that players who aren’t even familiar with the anime will be able to pick things up quickly. An adventure game, players get to experience the world of the anime, chatting with characters and reliving classic scenes from the show. The game also includes full 3D battles where you take to a mech and face off against enemies using a simple control scheme.

Of the two games, the PSP title looks further along and will see Japanese release on 4/6. The PS2 title is currently set for some time in 2006.
