Homebrew developer MrTyzik is working on a homebrew game for the Nintendo DS, and its latest version has been released. Laser Hockey DS is currently at 0.1.7, and now has score display and the sleep mode feature.
MrTyzik‘s Laser Hockey DS, as you would’ve guessed by its name, is hockey on the DS. Similar to the classic Pong, there are two paddles and players have to hit a ball across the screen and into the goal to score. It wasn’t playable until recently, and now, it supports up to a score of nine before the game ends.
Here’s Version 0.1.7’s changelog:
- The scores display on each screen
- The game goes into sleep mode when you close the lid
Laser Hockey DS is still very early in development, and constant updates aim to improve the homebrew game for Nintendo’s handheld. The Readme file included in the download below has a list of all the changes each update made, so don’t forget to check it out.
