Latest Wii System Menu Update provides support for Photo Channel
You know that Digicam Print Channel that Wii gamers in Japan got? It seems that the service will also be headed for the U.S. and Europe, if the new Wii System Menu update is any hint of it. Details in the full article.
Earlier, we reported on the new Digicam Print Channel that Wii gamers in Japan got. The new service allows them to order prints for their photos stored in the console, as well as having business cards with their Miis on it printed. At first it seemed this was a Japan-only service, but the new U.S. and European Wii System Menu update indicates the opposite.
According to Nintendo, the update provided behind-the-scenes support for the “new service that has been released only in Japan.” The update was called Photo Channel 1.1-a. It seems only logical to assume that the Digicam Print Channel will indeed be released in other regions.
Now some may be worried that the update may have stirred up some trouble for the Wiibrew community as the last one did, but it doesn’t look like it did. No alarms went off in the community at least. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the latest concerning the new update.
