Law 8020 debuts on PS5 in 2025
I’m tremendously excited to announce Law 8020– an all-new sci-fi life dread experience coming in 2025 from Supermassive Games. With even more features and player company than we have ever had, Directive 8020 is a brand-new sci-fi life scary adventure with all the interactive visual gameplay you’d hope from a Supermassive game.
But, first let’s begin with the Story. Humanity is running out of time, and Earth is dying. The planet Tau Ceti f, which is only 12 light years away, offers a tiny sliver of hope, but the crew soon realize they are not the only ones on board when the Cassiopeia, the colony ship, crashes onto the planet.
The Cassiopeia staff may defeat their foes to survive. They must be hunted by an alien cell capable of mimicking its victim. As they battle to live, they are confronted with the hardest decision of all: to protect themselves, they may risk the life of everyone on Earth.
Obviously, as it’s a Supermassive scary game – things are not going to go to prepare for our pioneer team!
Across the activity, you’ll observe the suffocating, stranded wreck of our reconnaissance ship, the Cassiopeia. A darker, terrifying area filled with horrors. Our sport draws inspiration from various sci-fi horror movies, starting with Alien and moving on to Event Horizon. Like many of those films, this sport explores styles of sci-fi horror. In comparison to the vastness of space, we are barren in place, meaningless and meaningless. The world itself is callous and comfortless.
We even lean into figure horror. Our mysterious entity has a grotesque style: twisted flesh, bubbling, pustule-like eye, and polymorphous type. Worse of all, it has the ability to change its body to resemble any member of your team. In a world where anyone could be a dangerous alien fake, you must choose who to believe.
You’ll have control over five crew members and perform each of them several times throughout the game; your fate rests with you, as each crew member in your control either lives or passes away depending on your actions. In this spreading dread adventure, your choices determine the story’s ultimate outcome. However, it wo n’t be simple because you will face real-time threats for the first time in a Dark Pictures game.
Intelligent, Hunter/Killer creatures which may track you down and murder you if you slip up. This is true “on the pieces” game and is totally new for the Dark Pictures. To thrive, you’ll need to hide, escape, and overcome a variety of demons. If you do n’t use your wits, your character could find solace in exploration.
Our character activity controls have been completely redesigned to assist stealth. You’ll have to adapt to each new menace you encounter. There are many different “imitates” in the game, from humanlike characters who act normally but are n’t all human, to full-fledged hunters who have abandoned any attempt at mimicry in favor of brute force.
The DNA of the Dark Pictures is also present, if; in fact, all you love about them is still present, from twisting storylines to making difficult decisions. But as you’ll see, we’ve redesigned, polished, and amped up our play from the ground up to move more into sci-fi life despair.
Ultimately, we’re extremely pleased to have another remarkable celebrity feature in our cast, just like we’ve done with our previous games. Lashana Lynch is at the head in Law 8020. You’ll understand Lashana from cinema such as 007 No Time to Die, The Woman King, Captain Marvel and Bob Marley: One Love. Lashana plays the role of Brianna Young, the captain of the Cassiopeia. She is one of the best pilots on Earth, and your fate depends on how you play the game. She is also one of the crew’s best explorers.
See this space for more details about Law 8020; we look forward to seeing you perform it in 2025.
