Leaders and adversaries: What to expect at Evo 2024

The Evolution Championship Series ( Evo ) returns to Las Vegas this weekend, from July 19 to 21. Every summer as the heat rises, so does the opposition. Fighting activity fans and rivals travel to Las Vegas to enjoy the togetherness of the games that exist. While fresh body attempts to make their mark on Evo background, vampires will make a comeback to protect their titles.

For the next month, Evo 2024 broke the earth register record for an in-person games function, with over 10, 000 registrants and over 50, 000 participants from 63 countries around the world. Evo is moving to a new, bigger place: the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center as the fighting sport scene grows. For all eight Evo tournaments, spectators may have access to an expanded show floors as well as an industry finals practice. The roster this year is incredible: Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, Mortal Kombat 1, The King Of Fighters XV, Guilty Gear -Strive-, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike, and Under Night In-Birth II Sys: Celes.
This week’s event features brand-new show-floor destinations, alongside the transfer of fan favorites like the Free Play Arcade, Arcade Stick Museum, Cosplay Competition, and hands-on videos of future matches. Evo attendees will also get a hands-on look at new and highly anticipated fighting games, including 2XKO, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, Rivals 2, Marvel vs. Capcom: Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, Marvel vs. Capcom: Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics, and HunterxHunter NenxImpact. Check out the Evo Art Gallery’s debut, which celebrates the development of fighting game history. The Gallery will feature over 100 pieces, including illustrations, promotional posters, and more.
World-class cosplayers dressed as characters from your favorite fighting games will be featured in the Evo Cosplay Competition.
The Arcade Controller Museum highlights the players ‘ brands and communities. Experience the history of the arcade controller and check out a vast collection of Evo controllers, community pieces, game-licensed fight sticks, and more.
More games and a bigger footprint follow the success of the well-known Free Play Arcade. More games are being released this year than ever, ranging from vintage FGC classics to contemporary cabinets.
The PlayStation Booth will be on the floor with exclusive demos, competitions, and gear. Fans can take part in Gran Turismo 7 Time Trials and play a demo of the upcoming Astro Bot. The PlayStation Gear Store will have new and exclusive merchandise on site. On all eight Evo titles, players can drop in and practice their skills.
Major fighting games will be on sale during Evo as part of the PlayStation Store’s Summer Sale. When the promotion goes live on July 17th, head to the PlayStation Store.
