Legendary WoW weapons to appear in Wrath of the Lich King?

And back in the World of Warcraft scene, we’ve experienced tremors emanating from rumors about legendary weapons going to appear with the next expansion’s content. World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King was just recently confirmed during BlizzCon 2007, and Blizzard hinted that the legendary weapon Ashbringer will make an appearance in Northrend.

The bad news is that the sword may be permanently kept off players’ hands, as Tirion Fordring himself will be wielding said weapon – the very bane of the Lich King. So players might need a plausible replacement if they have to face off against the Lich King himself.

The other unnamed weapon wasn’t featured at BlizzCon, but it was definitely highlighted in a unordered list as “a legendary ranged weapon.” Hunters may be rejoicing at this new development, but they also must understand that wands and throwing weapons also classify – technically – as ranged weapons.

Of course, the Ashbringer issues simply remain as solid as air for now, while developments for Wrath of the Lich King may be subject to change, so we’ll treat these as rumors for now. But we’ll update you on more clues when the community sniffs them out.
