Legends of Norrath: Oathbound going live this September 5
First, we have the bad news. Guys in the EverQuest servers will want to know that they’ll be hit with server downtime this Wednesday, September 5, starting 5:00 a.m. PDT, lasting roughly seven hours. The downtime is reportedly part of a game update, which brings us to the good news of this report.
Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) appears to be delaying Legends of Norrath:Oathbound‘s launch date, as we pick up a press wire announcing the game’s new release for September 5. As the players may recall, Legends of Norrath is an online only collectible card game based on both EverQuest and EverQuest II, with Oathbound being the first set of the series.
Oathbound is expected to features over 375 digital cards, with 55 for the starter deck, and a further 15 for each booster pack. Current EverQuest and EverQuest II players can expect to be awarded a complementary (and randomized) Oathbound starter pack come release.
As for the other features players can expect from Oathbound:
- Game modes: Single-Player Campaigns or PVP mode
- Online play features: Deck Builder, Collection Manager, Trade Lobby, Tournament Lobby and numerous Casual Games Lobbies.
- Original Artwork: For both EverQuest and EverQuest II
- Special rewards: Players who purchase the booster packs stand a chance to win special in-game items.
