Those who are looking forward to Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures (PS3, PSP, Wii, DS, Xbox 360, PC) can expect the game to be released on June 3 across all platforms. Those who are itching for more juicier details than that, read on.

These new details surfaced from MTV who were shown a preview of the game. Lego Indiana Jones will be featuring the same drop in and drop out play in the Lego Star Wars games. In Lego Indiana Jones, you can switch back and forth between Indy and his assistant, Satipo.

In the game you’ll be using Indy’s whip to full use. It lets players do everything from swinging across gaps to merely picking up items. Satipo will have his own tools, one of which is a shovel he can dig for treasure with.

For the console versions, Lego Indiana Jones will have support for up to four players. For the Wii, the motion-sensing Wiimote will be used to control Indy’s whip. The game’s producers explained that the controls will be similar to the Star Wars interface.

The DS version will have its own gameplay mechanics. Instead of the Wiimote, you’ll be using the stylus to control your whip. You’ll also be using the microphone to blow up rafts and to blow out torches.

Finally, some details story-wise. The producers also explain that the game will be faithful to the plot of the original movies so the Nazis have not been removed from the story, but they won’t be wearing swastikas.

However, the new Lego Indiana Jones game will not have any references to the new Indiana Jones movie that’s set to come out a week before the game’s release. That doesn’t mean they won’t come out with a new game about the new movie, though. Here’s hoping.
