Even Lego Indy hates snakes. Solid Snake‘s success at the top of the UK software charts have proven to be short-lived, as Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures rolls over it (with a Lego boulder) and reclaims its spot in first place.

It’s not surprising that MGS4 dropped down a spot: it’s a PS3 exclusive, while Lego Indy is a multiplatform game (with seven platforms to its name, including the PC). And since this list takes account the numbers from all platforms, the numbers are just against Snake.

Debuting this week in the UK is Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, which enters the charts in 10th place. I expected the game to strike it higher up the charts, considering that Europe gets the Limited Edition of the game that Japan got, but then it is also a platform exclusive.

Alone in the Dark also debuted this week, but with Lego Indy and MGS4 up on the charts, the game only landed on third place. This, despite all the bad press they received after suing European websites for supposed negative reviews of the game. Meanwhile, Grand Theft Auto IV dropped further down to fourth place. Here are the rest of top games in the UK for the week of June 21:

  1. Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures
  2. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
  3. Alone In The Dark
  4. Grand Theft Auto IV
  5. Wii Play
  6. Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games
  7. Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training
  8. Race Driver: GRID
  9. Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock
  10. Crisis Core
