LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT Available for Pre-Order Starting April 1

One terrific gadget – LEGO’s brand-spanking-new MINDSTORMS  NXT – will be available for pre-order starting April 1 at the LEGO Online Shop.  Mark your calendars!  (The Shop says only five units per order, though, so you’d better be ready when the time comes – people are just champing at the bit to buy one, or more than one even.)

The new generation of LEGO robots’ ‘brain’, the NXT Intelligent Brick, comes with a 32-bit microprocessor and support for USB 2.0 and Bluetooth.  The sets will also ship with cutting-edge ultrasonic, light, touch and sound sensors.  Plus they’ll be Mac-compatible too – really good since some of the early MINDSTORMS units could only work with PCs.

All this for a hair under $250.00.  Sweet!
