Leipzig GCDC 2007: Event date rescheduled
While North America will be getting itself ready for the Game Developer’s Conference this March 5 to 9, we will be covering Europe’s answer to this hallowed event – the Leipzig GC Developer’s Conference (GCDC). First up is a change in schedules – the event date has been moved from its previous August 22 to 26 dates to a slightly earlier (and shorter) August 20 to 22. The 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. convention times, and the Leipzig Messe venue remain the same.
From the three days mentioned earlier, the Leipzig event will focus on program tracks of Game Development, Business, and Science. As for noted events, the Game Developers Party is set as a meeting ground for industry visionaries, leaders, professionals, and students out to share their ideas. This event takes place at the Pocket Park Ost, on Tuesday (August 21) evening from 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. With Leipzig 2006 bagging an impressive 183,000 visitors, 2,600 press personnel, and 368 exhibitors, it remains to be seen just how well this event will do this year.
