Lich King question: What will we need for Inscription?

A lot of the questions have naturally cropped up from the announcement of the new expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, and the content additions that will come with it. We came across a curious bunch of players in the World of Warcraft Forums. The thing they’re curious about? The upcoming profession, Inscription.

The question was, “Any word on what raw materials the new Inscription profession will use?” As you may have guessed a number of players offered their guesses. Some speculated that the materials would be: a) items that currently have no apparent use, b) things that can be derived off enchantment materials, or c) an obscene amount of thorium. Blizzard poster Nethaera gave the official blue answer: “Not as of yet. This is still a work in progress, but you can bet that as we get further along in development, we’ll start getting the word out for everyone.”
