Localized JRPG has less ass

gohJust like many JRPGs, Glory of Heracles had been released for the Nintendo DS in Japan long ago, but it only hit the West recently. Nothing new there. But what makes this localization a little different is that there’s a noticable butt cover-up in the North American version.

 

 

 

Just like many JRPGs, Glory of Heracles had been released for the Nintendo DS in Japan long ago, but it only hit the West recently. Nothing new there. But what makes this localization a little different is that there’s a noticable butt cover-up in the North American version.

As you can see, the skirt angle was moved slightly to cover more butt, and there’s now a broken sword tip to obscure the slit. Given that this is a DS title from Nintendo, such measures might’ve been necessary for a Western audience, and probably for the ESRB rating as well.
