We’ve got more details on Sony‘s LocoRoco 2! After reading about the happy news that the sequel to LocoRoco will be rolling into store shelves sometime this year, you’ll no doubt be pleased in knowing more details about this title: singing Mojas, new bosses, and skills for the lovable LocoRocos. Details in the full article!
We know you’re all hyped up with the news of LocoRoco 2 hitting PSP soon, so here are some tidbits that would make you salivate for more of the LocoRoco sequel. While it is already a known fact that the game will be out sometime this year (or possibly this fiscal year, which may possibly stretch out into next calendar year), we haven’t heard about actual game details.
Here are some of the game’s details courtesy of a recent Famitsu interview with director Tsutomu Kouno… and trust us, the game sounds good already. One of the game elements that will be treated to a revamp are the Moja, those floating blobs of rastafarian. According to Kouno, the Moja will be coming up with their own songs – and hearing these Moja songs will sap the energy out of LocoRocos who hear them.
There will be other villains these time around. Let Kouno-san tell you about these new enemies:
You’ll also run into other enemies as the game goes on — not friends of the Moja, but there’s a boss that has transformed these creatures and has them under his control, and he uses them to attack the LocoRoco.
Kouno also mentioned that LocoRocos will now be able to learn new abilities as they go on, such as being able to dive underwater, being able to bite and hold on to more items, and even pull things with their teeth. However, this isn’t to say that LocoRoco 2 will stray from its purpose of being a light, easy to pick-up-and-play game. “We’re being careful to keep it from getting too complex,” Kouno said, while adding that there will be enough new features that will appease those who played the first game.
