According to Japanese magazine Famitsu, Games publisher Hudson, the same team that plans to release TurboGrafx games for Nintendo’s Virtual Console system are planning yet another step into the Nintendo gaming market with the October 26th release of Lode Runner for Nintendo DS in Japan.  A short preview featuring Lode Runner for the DS in Famitsu didn’t reveal much, however we do know that the DS version will include other Lode Runner titles like Championship Lode Runner, and that the action will take place on the touch-screen with a full-level overview on the top-screen.

We have also found some screenshots of the game on Hudson’s official Lode Runner site, but the site doesn’t reveal anything we do not already know about the game from the Famitsu preview. We just have to wait for the US release date to be announced.
