The London Games Festival is set to return for its fourth consecutive run this year beginning on October 24th, 2009. Lead organizer ELSPA has revealed the details of the event, promising “something for everyone.” And by everyone, they do mean EVERYONE. Even your parents.

ELSPA Director General Michael Rowlinson said, “The 2008 London Games Festival was a major success. With the rise in popularity of videogames in the UK I’m sure this year’s Festival will be a great draw and fun for everyone.”

For this year’s event, the organizers have reportedly already signed up for partnerships and “the festival is already taking shape well. The Government, media and the public took great interest last year and we look forward to welcoming them all back.”

So what’s the invite for your parents for? Apparently, they will be holding conferences or sessions designed to help parents understand videogames better, and even give advice for those seeking advice on how to make gaming safer for the children.

The confirmed highlights for the 2009 London Games Festival are:

  • London MCM Expo –  October 24th and 25th, Excel, East London
  • London Games Conference – October 27, Bafta, Central London
  • Golden Joysticks Awards -October 30
  • Eurogamer Expo – October 30 and 31, Old Billingsgate
