For the denizens of Linden Lab‘s Second Life MMORPG, we’re bringing in something that could help lessen the clutter of the game’s fast-paced events. Barcelona-based multimedia studio Mosi-Mosi has just opened up their Sloog Beta 0.1 bookmarking tool for use in-game, and is currently a free downloadable for members of the Second Life community.

To pick up the Sloog bookmarking tool, players are directed to visit the Mosi-Mosi office in-game, and click on the Sloog stand inside to request a copy. A note card will pop up to show you provide some basic info for Sloog, along with a message offering the HUD. Accept the Sloog HUD, look for it in your inventory, right-click and choose “Wear.” There’s also the “Attach To HUD/Whatever” top place Sloog’s interface elsewhere onscreen. If you did all the steps correctly, a green window should pop up on the upper-left corner of your screen. Wear that, and a welcome message will pop up under normal chat to tell you Sloog is now installed.

Going into usage details, Sloog has three buttons: “Privacy mode”, “Your Bookmarks”, and “Help.” The first option allows users to set their privacy mode, which means their bookmarks will not pop up on the Sloog main page. “Your Bookmarks” will direct users to their personal page at the Sloog main site, where they can list and manage bookmarks. The “Help” button, as implied, opens up a help documents for first-timer users.

Like we said, we advise guys trying to keep tabs on the latest happenings in Second Life to apply. Since Sloog tallies up the most frequently “hit” bookmarks for the public to see, it should give gamers a better sense of awareness on what the latest talk of the town is, or will be.
