Lord of the Rings Online: A look at Half-Orcs
In Codemasters‘ Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar, there are creatures that walk the lands posing a threat to its free people. However, perhaps the biggest threat are not those that hide in the darkness but those that walk in plain sight: The Half Orcs. Barely distinguishable from regular men, these creatures are immune to sunlight unlike their full-blooded Orc brethren.
The origins of these creatures are still a mystery. Some have said that it is the work of Saruman the White while others claim that they come from a more ancient time. Regardless of their origin, their intentions, whether benevolent or malicious are still unknown.
In the game, you will probably have encountered quite a few of these monsters in various quests. While they don’t give much of a threat individually, in a group they can take down all but the mightiest of adventurers.
