Capcom’s got something in store for PS3 and Xbox 360 owners next month: a demo for Lost Planet 2. If you’re one of Capcom’s most hardcore fans, though, you could even get the demo as early as the end of March.
Lost Planet 2‘s demo will be available to the public on April 21 for Xbox 360 and April 22 for PlayStation 3. Capcom, however, will be giving out voucher codes that will enable players to access it by March 31. Just keep an eye on the Capcom-Unity blog for them.
The demo will feature multiplayer battles with up to 16 players in real time and the “Turbulent Jungle” map from the online versus mode. It will also include chat support and stat tracking. Those who download the demo will also get immediate access to the Machine Gun SP which fires three round bursts when they purchase the full retail version of Lost Planet 2.
And speaking of release dates, Lost Planet 2 will be hitting retail a week before its previously announced date. The game’s Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions will now launch on May 11th. The PC version is scheduled for release in Fall 2010.
