Capcom has released more details for Lost Planet 2, including info on the timeline, story, and environment. The big announcement is that the game will feature four-player co-op.
According to the press release, the sequel picks up 10 years after the first game, and the landscape has “evolved dramatically” thanks to terraforming. The story has progressed beyond Wayne Holden and players will now control their own customized snow pirates, vying for control of the E.D.N III.
The only detail lacking seems to be whether the game really is an Xbox 360 exclusive, something they’ve been evading ever since the initial announcement. They refuse to confirm or deny this, causing a lot of speculation that Lost Planet 2 is a timed exclusive, which is what happened to other games, like BioShock.
