Lost Planet cinematic trailer: coming FROM a theater/Live near you

A sign that the games industry is going Hollywood? Well, that’s publicity for you. Capcom‘s “cinematic” trailer for Lost Planet, released first to Times Square and then to Marketplace, would look right at home if it were introducing a directed-by-Michael-Bay, produced-by-Jerry-Bruckheimer flick.

So if you haven’t had the chance to watch the trailer yet, because you haven’t gone out to catch a movie since God knows when, and/or for one reason or another you haven’t downloaded the free trailer in the Marketplace yet (too busy playing Gears, perhaps, or worse, you’re cursing the 1080p fix), courtesy of ksolaris, you can now watch this YouTube embed instead.

Like we said: classic Hollywood summer blockbuster-promotion fare, down to the taglines and the disembodied trailer voiceover. Hey, we were half-expecting some big star’s name to pop up during the trailer – oh wait, they’re not traditionally credited like that in vidgame trailers; you usually got to wait for the credits.
