Lost Planet Multiplayer Map Pack #1 due on March 9
After giving us a short sneak peek of the upcoming multiplayer maps for Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, Capcom has now also given us a date to attach to the thing. According to their latest release, the first Lost Player Multiplayer Map Pack will be available “on or about March 9” (via Xbox Live Marketplace) and can be purchased for 400 MS Points (about US$ 5).
Furthermore, the map pack will contain two levels, namely “Radar Field” and “Island 902.” Radar Field is described as “a close quarters facility which is under construction and has a giant radar that provides a peak vantage point,” while Island 902 promises to plunge players into “a sprawling Pacific-themed battlefield with several islands connected by bridges as well as vast underwater areas.” Sounds promising, doesn’t it?
On top of that, Capcom has also announced that two more map packs are on the way and will be made available in the coming months, and as an added bonus, they will also be making the multiplayer map “Battleground” free for download, though they didn’t specify when this would happen. “Battleground” is a map that was originally an exclusive add-on for those who purchased the Collector’s Edition of Lost Planet.
Anyway, while we wait for March to come around, Capcom has provided screenshots from both of the maps included in the first map pack. So take a look, and set aside those 400 MS Points of yours.
