LotRO: Music playing tutorial

Among the unique features that Turbine's Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar MMORPG carries, one that we've developed an ear for is the music player. As we've seen in a previous gameplay video, this in-game feature allows LotRO players to be able to play their very own songs via their PC's keyboard. As with all musical instruments, however, we imagine this feature has a hefty learning curve.

Now, in case you have an inkling to make with the in-game music, but have talents that'd make even an Uruk-Hai warrior cry, we'll be making mention of a tutorial site you may want to visit. The site is hosted by LotRO resident Nan (aka Glen), and features an in-depth tutorial into playing music.

The guide features basic instructions for first-time visitors, as well as more complex chords for the guys adventurous enough to try out something different - how does playing the Mario theme in Middle-Earth sound? Just make sure to read these important steps before heading over to the read link:

1. Make sure your class has the music skill and it's trained.
2. Buy an instrument from your local Bard.
3. Equip your instrument: open your inventory and double-click (or right-click) on it.
4. Press ENTER and type /music (as if you were going to say something)
5. Tada! Instrument in hand, you should now be in play mode!
6. Press keys 1-8 to play notes, using shift and ctrl to go high or low.
