LOTRO’s Bree – now in live CGI-action!
If Turbine Inc. is gonna dump this CGI trailer for The Lord of the Rings Online on GameTrailers’ collective lap, then why are they getting GameSpy’s vaporware award? Immediate disqualification, we tell you! Give the award back to Duke Nukem (is taking) Forever!
Anyway, while Turbine has given us the guided tour of Bree, up to and including the Prancing Pony, they essentially were travel brochures. Words on a page, a couple of pictures, whatnot. This new trailer, however, features “Actual Gameplay Footage,” and shows off Bree in a way a pile of text and screenshots can’t. It’s yet another and even better look into how the game will appear when it’s released, which would be sometime in Spring 2007, though Turbine can’t say when exactly.
Nothing about the “encroaching darkness” the previous Bree articles were talking about, though. Maybe they need to include more nighttime shots in the next trailer.
