Lots of time on his hands: homemade Halo 3 assault rifle
While this isn’t breaking news, it’s still kinda cool, and besides, we’d like to wind the weekend down before the real work begins. In the same vein, this little craft project of link4044 of the Artist HQ forums isn’t exactly like playing with the Halo 3 multiplayer Beta, but d*** indeed if it ain’t cool.
He’s made himself his very own (does not fire real ammo, by the way) Halo 3 MA5C Assault Rifle.
He started this project in December, with little more than Corel Draw, whatever the gun is made of, time on his hands, and a will that won’t quit (not so sure on the will, though). He’s gotten most of the details locked down, right to the ammo counter LED. It’s attracted quite the attention – link4044 even mentioned being contacted by Bungie for a little tete-a-tete about his little woodshop project.
Our suggestion is that Jasman Toys contacts him next, because that’s one piece of the arsenal they’re missing from their Halo-themed laser tag toys. And maybe get together with whoever made up that eBayed MJOLNIR Armor.
