Mark Brown of the UK is known in the online world of City of Heroes as “The Mighty Thud.” Here in the U.S., another player, Jody Petroff, roams the virtual streets of Paragon City in the guise of “Molecule Witch.”

One night, both of these superheroes were brutally ambushed and attacked by villains. After their harrowing escape, Mighty Thud and Molecule Witch struck up a casual conversation. “We seemed to work on the same wavelength,” the 38-year-old Mr. Brown says. To make a long story short, love bloomed, and the sound of wedding bells are in the wind.

Mr. Brown had tried singles bars, dating clubs – all the usual venues – yet, by age 38, had failed to find that “special girl.” He could never have imagined that she was waiting for him, right there in Paragon City in the guise of a super-heroine.

One never knows…
