Low investment of mobile minis might indicate an upcoming upgrade from Apple to Apple.

iPad mini 6
Last updated 5 hours agoInternal Apple source suggest iPad mini is “constrained,” indicating that the aging device may finally see a refresh this fall — possibly with Apple Intelligence. Stocks of the current model are dwindling, which could mean that the wait for the rumored iPad Mini 7 is finally over. Mark Gurman wrote that Apple sources described the tablet as constrained. This led him to believe that a possible update is on its way. The iPad mini 7 is likely to see few external improvements as it already follows the modern design layout. Apple could move the front-facing sensor and camera, but it’s not clear if they would do so on the smaller tablet which is primarily used with the hand. Apple Pencil 2 will continue to be phased out as Apple Pencil Pro, Apple Pencil USB-C and Apple Pencil Pro are now available (check prices). This suggests that the sensors could be moved to the landscape side. ProMotion could help satisfy consumer demand for a better display. A higher refresh rate can help reduce the jelly scrolling effect, but physics will not allow it to be eliminated completely. The current processor for the iPad mini 7 is an A15. Either of these processors would be a significant upgrade in processing power. Unpredictable is the announcement window for a product of this nature. Apple could announce it at the Glowtime Apple event on September 9 or in a press release or later fall event.
