Lucent Sues Microsoft

Lucent Technologies has filed suit against Microsoft for patent infringement over certain technology that is used in the 360’s.  Lucent claims Microsoft is using it’s patented technology in the 360’s built-in MPEG-2 decoding capabilities.  The last time Microsoft and Lucent went to court, Microsoft sued Lucent on non infringement grounds and won due to a typographical error in the patent.  Lucent has since corrected the error and received an official patent correction notice.  Lucent is threatening to pull all 360’s off the shelves and have a recall which I see as very unlikely.
